Meet the Principal

Welcome Stine Vikings!

My name is Shelly Tiffin, and I am honored to serve as the new principal of Stine Elementary for the 2025–2026 school year. My personal belief is simple yet powerful: learning transforms lives. Every step of my career has been rooted in this truth, and I am excited to bring that passion to our Viking community.

I began my journey in education as a classroom teacher serving in all grades TK-7, where I discovered the joy of helping students unlock their potential through strong instruction and meaningful relationships. Over the years, I have served in a variety of roles—including mentor, instructional coach, and administrator—each one shaping the way I lead today. Most recently, I was the Administrator of Alternative Education for our district. In that role, I built a program from the ground up to support students with significant challenges, focusing on academic growth, positive behavior systems, and successful transitions back to their home schools. Our team was able to show that, with the right support, students are capable of accelerated growth regardless of personal circumstance.

These experiences have taught me that when schools combine strong academics with supportive systems and genuine care for students, transformation happens. That’s the vision I bring to Stine: strengthening literacy and math, ensuring every student feels connected and safe, and working side by side with families and staff to create a culture of belonging and achievement.

This year, our theme is Viking Strong—because at Stine, we know that when we row together as one ship, one crew, we can overcome any challenge. I look forward to building relationships with each of you and honoring Stine’s proud history while charting a course for the bright future our students deserve.
